David L. Day, Guide Dave is our Naturalist and Interpretive Guide for the Wildlife Viewing programs in the Rockies. Born in England Dave spent his formative years growing up in Laval, Quebec. He is a geographer holding degrees from Sir George Williams University in Montreal, and the University of Calgary. As a Partner and Senior Environmental Consultant for the Calgary based firm, Iris Environmental Systems, he has been providing for the last nine years environmental consulting services to the private sector in mountain environments in Alberta and British Columbia, specializing in environmental impact mitigation in ski area and other resort developments. Dave is a past Superintendent of the Rideau Canal and Banff National Park and a founder of the Association for Mountain Parks Protection and Enjoyment with its dedication to sustainable developments in mountain parks and natural areas. What a way to share that tremendous knowledge of and appreciation for the Rocky Mountain life zones, and for the challenges faced in their management and protection with our guests.
