Tour Itinerary |
Day 1: Arrival
Arrive in Calgary. Meet your guide at the airport. Picturesque drive through Banff and Yoho National Park to Golden. Stay at the cozy Kapristo Lodge for the next few nights and enjoy the tranquil location overlooking the Columbia Valley. Days 2-4: Snowmobiling in the Rockies and the Purcell Mountains
After a hearty breakfast, meet your snowmobile guides and will get some instruction about the snowmobiling in the mountains. The daily trips take you into the Blaeberry Valley, Susan Lake, Blackwater Ridge
and South or North Fork. Depending on the conditions, ride in the Purcell or the Rocky Mountains. Lunch will be along the trail and dinner at the Kapristo Lodge or at a local restaurant. Day 5: Free
Today is at your disposal for activities such as skiing in Lake Louise or dogsledding. For those who have always wanted to try heliskiing, this is the day to do it. The area in the Purcell Mountains is ideal for heliskiing with its endless terrain and amazing powder. A day of heliskiing includes three descents, certified mountain guide, instruction as well as a packed lunch. Days 6-7: Snowmobiling
Change of scenery into the wilderness of the Purcell Mountains at Panorama Resort. In the early morning, leave Golden by van and drive southwards through the Columbia Valley to Invermere and Panorama Resort. Then head out for a two-day snowmobile adventure in the backcountry with overnight stay in log cabins. Take all necessary luggage for the overnight stay onto the snowmobiles.
A dinner to the group’s liking awaits you. The overnight stay is at the historic Palliser Hotel, located in the middle of downtown. Day 8: Breakfast and departure
Breakfast on top of the Calgary Tower, where you are able to get some great vistas over the city and into the mountains. You will have enough time to do some shopping before being transferred to the
airport. |
