Land of Galilee, a small eco tourism company located in the countryside of the historical Galilee region in Israel, offers a multitude of services for the independent tourist as well as tailor made package tours for small groups. Land of Galilee strives to provide a very friendly and authentic stay in this forgotten picturesque region, and makes every effort to find solutions for every budget, as they would like to make visiting Israel and Galilee affordable for all.
Most services are closely related to ecology, as Land of Galilee believes that an authentic journey in this area has added values of spiritual adventure and getting closer to nature and to a simple, good way of living.
One of their special services is using home-stays as accommodation for reduced costs and for meeting friendly local people. This way guests might enjoy better hospitality than any modern hotel and better food then any restaurant. Another type of accommodation offered is the unique country lodges (known as “Zimmer cabins”) which are special to Israel and the Galilee region. These “cabins” are privately owned and painstakingly built from wood, stone or mud—some of these cabins are much more luxurious than any 5-star hotel—and all of them offer a special atmosphere. Land of Galilee offers some of the best at reduced prices.
Special day tours are offered for exploring this rich, historical area in unique ways: cycling ancient trails, visiting holy sites on a horseback, swimming across the Sea of Galilee, local medicine herbal guidance, visiting organic farms which use old agriculture methods, and many others. For something even more unique, Land of Galilee offers extreme adventure in Israel including paragliding, rafting and more.
Land of Galilee’s theory about why Israel is the holy land for three religions is that Israel is the world’s main junction of cultures and nature, and in their tours they will try to show this by dealing with subjects such as bird migration (millions passing through Israel every year), visiting Bedouins, the Druze, and Circassians villages to witness the diversity of cultures in such a small area.
Although Galilee is their specialty, they can arrange tourist services throughout all of Israel.
