Overview
At The Adventure Company, the promise has always remained the same: to provide genuine travel experiences and unbeatable value for money - creating what they believe are the most inspirational travel experiences available today.
Traveling in small groups, The Adventure Company is able to make personal contact with the people and places visited. This close contact reminds them that they are part of a very fragile environment; one that has grown to depend on customs while also being greatly threatened by it. Conscious of this tenuous balance, The Adventure Company aims to lessen the impact made on the areas and communities visited while also providing support in the most appropriate way possible. The Adventure Company is confident that their holidays will do more than create life-long memories. They hope they will exceed your expectations and sometimes even change they way you see the world and yourself.
Similar types of people are attracted to The Adventure Company’s style of travel, so you’ll have plenty in common with other members of the group before you even meet. Plus there’s nothing like a challenge to bring people together - a night in a tribal village, going dog-sledding for the first time or a trek over a high pass in the Himalayas.
Ecotourism At The Adventure Company, they have always recognized that they are accountable for the way they affect the local community and environment in the areas they operate. Over recent years, The Adventure Company has taken fundamental steps to ensure that Responsible Travel is at the heart of all aspects of their business.
The Adventure Company Foundation The Adventure Company has set up its own foundation, which will administer funds donated by you. A small donation of $2 per booking will be taken when booking a holiday and that money will be put to good use by one of The Adventure Company’s carefully selected projects. If you don’t want to make the donation, just tell The Adventure Company when you call.
By following a simple Responsible Traveler’s Code, you can make a positive difference and limit the negative impacts on the places you’re journeying through. Everyone who travels with The Adventure Company will automatically receive a copy of their Responsible Travel leaflet. If you would like a copy in advance of travel please contact The Adventure Company.
The Adventure Company also contributes to projects in many of the regions they travel to. In many places these are small initiatives that really make a difference. The Adventure Company will also try to incorporate optional visits to the projects while you’re on your adventure.
Egypt The Adventure Company has joined forces with the Sunshine International Project, Luxor, to assist in providing education and a home for children in Egypt. You will have the opportunity to visit the home during your stay in Luxor and meet the 68 residents, where you’ll be assured of a cheery welcome!
Tanzania The Arusha Children’s Trust – a charity that aims to improve education, health services and environmental awareness in rural communities – would be delighted to receive picture books for young children, games, construction toys, puzzles or sports equipment if you can carry them with you.
India Rural schools in India are desperately under resourced, but the kids are eager to learn. The Adventure Company will try and build a visit into their partner school in Ranthambore so you can see what education is really like here.
One of the UK’s top adventure travel specialists, The Adventure Company offers small group adventure tours to remote and less-traveled places.
