Overview
Travel with Wildland Tours and Let Them Introduce You to England's Oldest Colony, Canada's Youngest Province, and Some of the Planet's Most Significant Wildlife Gatherings Share the History, Open Spaces, Warmth of Their People, and Special Spirituality of Their Landscapes
Life is delightfully different on the Arctic's southern edge. Newfoundland and Labrador is the landscape where springtime polar bears give way to autumn tropical sea turtles swimming north to feed on Arctic jellyfish. In summer the waters teem with whales and seabirds. North America's largest puffin colony meets the planet's largest humpback gathering a couple of miles from the new world's first city. To the north there are places where the land appears to move, but it's really the backs of the world's largest caribou herd. Along the coast there are places where whirling seabirds are so plentiful they obscure the sun. Wildland Tours takes you to where wild salmon leap in over dramatic waterfalls. Their ocean adventures feature the world's largest gathering of humpbacks sharing the waters with the second largest animals to ever live - the fin whales. Minke whales are so common Wildland calls part of their summer traveling route the "Minke Way". They make sure you travel with experienced local folk who can show you all the highlights. Along the way, sample unique foods such as partridgeberries and bakeapples while savoring your lobster feast and all the fresh seafood your heart desires. Travel with Wildland Tours. Share their adventures. They provide holidays you'll always remember.
