Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Tourism Program - Supporting Local Tourism Suppliers
In 2008 Worldwide Ecolodges signed an agreement with the Rainforest Alliance Organization to support sustainable tourism in the Americas. Rainforest Alliance provides training in best practices in sustainable tourism in several countries in the Americas and assists local suppliers to become regionally certified. This program is similar to their very successful efforts with sustainably grown coffee, tea, cocoa and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) wood products. Look for the Green Frog logo.
